Cookie Policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies thebalancedmovement.eu uses, what they are for, how long they last and how you can change your choice. How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as storage in the browser itself (local storage and session storage), work in the same way. In this policy we refer to them together as cookies.
Your consent
When you first visit, a cookie banner asks for your choice. We place functional cookies without consent, because the site cannot work without them. We place cookies for statistics and marketing only if you agree. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Manage consent button at the bottom of every page.
Functional cookies
Needed for the site to work and to remember your consent choice. No consent is required.
- cmplz_functional, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_marketing, cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_policy_id, cmplz_banner-status and cmplz_user_data (Complianz): remember your consent choice and which cookie banner you have seen. Retention: 365 days.
- wpEmojiSettingsSupports (WordPress): checks whether your browser can display emoji. Retention: until the end of your visit.
- elementor (Elementor): remembers certain actions on the site in your browser, without sharing data with third parties. Retention: until you delete it.
- tbm_utm (our own storage): remembers, for the duration of your visit, which tagged link you arrived through, so that this origin can be passed on if you book a conversation. No browsing behaviour is recorded. Retention: until the end of your visit.
Statistics cookies
Only with your consent. They show us how the site is used, so that we can improve it.
- _ga and _ga_<id> (Google Analytics): distinguish visitors and count page views and actions, such as clicks on buttons and steps in the booking calendar. Retention: up to two years.
Marketing cookies
Only with your consent. They let us measure whether a visit that started with one of our Google Ads advertisements leads to a conversation, an email or a message. We do not use them to show you personalised advertising.
- _gcl_au (Google Ads): links a visit to an advertisement click for conversion measurement. Retention: 90 days.
- _gcl_aw (Google Ads): stores the click on an advertisement if you arrive through one. Retention: 90 days.
Calendly cookies
Conversations are booked through Calendly. Calendly places its own cookies as soon as the booking calendar loads. We therefore load the calendar only when you agree to marketing cookies, or when you choose to load it yourself or open it in a new window. Which cookies Calendly uses and how it handles data is explained in Calendly's privacy notice.
Deleting or blocking cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Please note that the site may then no longer work fully. After you delete them, the cookie banner will ask for your choice again on your next visit.
Your rights
For your rights regarding personal data, such as access, correction and erasure, and for the option to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, please see the privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the site starts using different cookies. The current version always appears on this page, with the date it last changed shown at the top. This policy is also available in Dutch.
