Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Assendelft Communicatie handles personal data collected through thebalancedmovement.eu and the related sites within The Balanced Movement. It sets out what we collect, why we collect it, the legal basis for doing so, and the rights you hold over your data.
Who we are
The Balanced Movement is the umbrella for the work of Assendelft Communicatie, which is responsible for the personal data described here and is known under data protection law as the controller. Our registered details are Assendelft Communicatie, Vlietlaan 12, 1566 WG Assendelft, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 50264494. The data we collect
We collect the following, depending on how you use the site.
- Information you give us directly, for example when you use the contact form or book a conversation: your name, email address and the content of your message.
- Technical information collected automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, through server logs.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We process personal data on the legal bases set out in Article 6 of the GDPR.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you ask for. Basis: the performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one, together with our legitimate interest in responding to you.
- To keep the site secure and to understand how it is used so we can improve it. Basis: our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure and improving site.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. Basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
Cookies
The site keeps cookies to a minimum and uses only those that are strictly necessary for it to function. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service provider who hosts the site and acts on our instructions as a processor, namely TransIP, based in the Netherlands. We may also disclose data where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as the law requires. Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to two years after our last contact, unless it becomes part of a client relationship, in which case it follows the retention rules for that relationship. Accounting records are kept for the legally required period, which is seven years in the Netherlands.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these, contact us at maarten@thebalancedhouse.eu. We will respond within the time the law allows.
Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, we would welcome the chance to put it right, so please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always appears on this page, with the date it last changed shown at the top.
